First Baptist Church of Riverdale, GA (“FBC Riverdale”) is a revitalizing
church in the South Metro Atlanta area, (approx. 20 minutes from
Hartsfield Jackson Airport). We are entering a new era of ministry and are
looking for a part-time Worship Leader to join us in carrying out our
mission. Our worship service is a blend of traditional and contemporary
music. The Worship Leader will work as part of the church’s leadership
team.
Essential Qualifications
Candidate must have a credible profession of faith in Christ that is
clearly demonstrated through a faithful lifestyle
Candidate must be Baptist in theology and practice and must agree with
the Baptist Faith and Message
Candidate must have prior experience in leading a choir/praise group
and congregation in song
Candidate should play an instrument while leading worship; the ability
to read music is preferred but not required with a degree in music as a
plus
Candidate must have a healthy devotion life that includes prayer and is
continuously growing in the spiritual disciplines
Candidate must demonstrate strong, mature Christian character and be
committed to moral purity
Candidate must be committed to the vision of FBC Riverdale and
participate in serving to achieve that vision and commit to be a member
of good-standing in the church
Candidate must be devoted to the ministry of FBC Riverdale and is
expected to be involved in Life Groups, church functions, and outreach
opportunities
Essential Responsibilities:
Lead worship on The Lord’s Day
Work with the pastor in planning the worship services
Recruit, supervise, and lead the volunteer praise/worship team
Hold regular rehearsals with the praise/worship team
Choose theologically sound songs and hymns that are gospel-centered
Lead and encourage the growth of theological understanding among the
worship team
Work with the praise team and AV team so that everything is conducive
for corporate worship. This would include, but not be limited to:
♦ Making sure A/V team has all lyrics for PowerPoint and order of
service
♦ All singers and musicians have the lyrics and chord charts in advance
♦ Ensure sound system and mics are working and properly adjusted
prior to the worship service
♦ Ensure instruments are tuned by communicating with musicians
♦ Preferred candidate possess some skill and knowledge of technology
in worship, including sound, computers, presentation software, and
video projection.
Flexibility is a must. Church staff have various areas of expertise and duties,
but we all work together in ministry.
Ongoing training is a must. Candidate must demonstrate a willingness to
continue growing in the area of worship ministry by attending conferences
and workshops when available.
As worship leader, and as on board with the mission and vision of FBC
Riverdale, candidate will be available for other ministry events whenever
possible, such as Vacation Bible School and other outreach event.

Description
Our mission at International Bible Church is to declare the gospel, disciple the believers and develop leaders. We expect that our lead pastor will be a maturing follower of Christ who meets the biblical qualifications of a pastor as stated in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. Our pastor must be doctrinally aligned with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 and personally committed to leading our church in cooperation with our Southern Baptist partnerships.
Our pastor is to be the leader of the congregation in biblical worship, consistently preaching bible-based, expositional, and gospel focused sermons that equip us as believers to carry out the work of the ministry through the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). Our lead pastor is expected to be a pacesetter to help us become a church that reflects the missional picture described by Jesus in Acts 1:8.
Qualifications
· Bible education consistent with pastoral ministry. Bible college or seminary preferred.

LEAD / TEACHING PASTOR - ELDER

Eastside Baptist Church began in 1910 (Atlanta), moved to Lithonia in 1974, and to the current location in Rockdale County in 2000. Midway between Stockbridge and Conyers, Eastside is strategically located to reach this growing and diverse southeast metro region. Throughout its 115-year history, Eastside has been marked by significant pastoral stability with three men serving a total of 78 years. In 2012, the church transitioned to an elder-led model of leadership.
Over the past several months, the church has engaged in an intentional revitalization process. But tragically, two elders have died in the past few months, including the Teaching Pastor who served faithfully since 2002. The church chose to continue the revitalization process under the leadership of an intentional interim teaching pastor/elder and the worship pastor/elder.
Our next Teaching Pastor / Elder must meet the Biblical qualifications for the role of pastor / elder / overseer found in 1 Timothy 3; Titus 1; 1 Peter 5; and Acts 20. He must demonstrate a Biblical pattern of character, healthy family relationships, and church leadership. We desire a leader with proven abilities leading a church in evangelism for their context, Global missions, clarity of discipleship process, defined leadership pathways, and faithful Biblical stewardship. He must model a personal pattern of prayer, discipleship, missions, stewardship, and Gospel witness. He must adhere to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
Other desired qualifications: (1) applicable theological education (master’s degree preferred); (2) three years as proven church staff leader; (3) visible engagement in Kingdom relationships that foster fellowship, growth, and partnership. We are part of the Southern Baptist Convention, Georgia Baptist Convention, and Southside Baptist Network.
