Hampton First Baptist Church is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to serve as our Church Secretary. This position plays a vital role in supporting the church’s ministries by managing administrative tasks and ensuring smooth communication within our congregation and community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary receptionist for the church, providing a warm and welcoming presence.
  • Maintain up-to-date church files and manage membership software.
  • Prepare and publish service bulletins for Sunday, Wednesday, and special events.
  • Provide secretarial support to the Senior Pastor, Associate Pastors, and Ministry Leaders.
  • Assist with financial responsibilities, including cross-training in QuickBooks for deposits, payroll, and bill payments.
  • Perform committee secretarial tasks, including typing, reminders, and maintaining member lists.
  • Manage church calendars, both physical and online, and schedule activities.
  • Keep the website and social media accounts updated.
  • Order supplies for various church needs, including office, kitchen, and ministry materials.
  • Notify Deacons and Pastors of family ministry needs and maintain prayer updates.
  • Oversee the church food pantry, including donations, volunteers, and distribution.
  • Use tools like Publisher, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Canva, and MailChimp proficiently.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in office software and social media management tools.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks or willingness to learn.

First Baptist Church of Riverdale, GA (“FBC Riverdale”) is a revitalizing
church in the South Metro Atlanta area, (approx. 20 minutes from
Hartsfield Jackson Airport). We are entering a new era of ministry and are
looking for a part-time Worship Leader to join us in carrying out our
mission. Our worship service is a blend of traditional and contemporary
music. The Worship Leader will work as part of the church’s leadership
team.
Essential Qualifications
 Candidate must have a credible profession of faith in Christ that is
clearly demonstrated through a faithful lifestyle
 Candidate must be Baptist in theology and practice and must agree with
the Baptist Faith and Message
 Candidate must have prior experience in leading a choir/praise group
and congregation in song
 Candidate should play an instrument while leading worship; the ability
to read music is preferred but not required with a degree in music as a
plus
 Candidate must have a healthy devotion life that includes prayer and is
continuously growing in the spiritual disciplines
 Candidate must demonstrate strong, mature Christian character and be
committed to moral purity
 Candidate must be committed to the vision of FBC Riverdale and

Essential Responsibilities:
 Lead worship on The Lord’s Day
 Work with the pastor in planning the worship services
 Recruit, supervise, and lead the volunteer praise/worship team
 Hold regular rehearsals with the praise/worship team
 Choose theologically sound songs and hymns that are gospel-centered
 Lead and encourage the growth of theological understanding among the
worship team
 Work with the praise team and AV team so that everything is conducive
for corporate worship. This would include, but not be limited to:
♦ Making sure A/V team has all lyrics for PowerPoint and order of
service

♦ All singers and musicians have the lyrics and chord charts in advance
♦ Ensure sound system and mics are working and properly adjusted
prior to the worship service
♦ Ensure instruments are tuned by communicating with musicians
♦ Preferred candidate possess some skill and knowledge of technology
in worship, including sound, computers, presentation software, and
video projection.

 Flexibility is a must. Church staff have various areas of expertise and duties,
but we all work together in ministry.
 Ongoing training is a must. Candidate must demonstrate a willingness to
continue growing in the area of worship ministry by attending conferences
and workshops when available.
 As worship leader, and as on board with the mission and vision of FBC
Riverdale, candidate will be available for other ministry events whenever
possible, such as Vacation Bible School and other outreach event.

Senior Pastor Position Opening

North Henry Baptist Church (Stockbridge, GA) is prayerfully seeking a full time Senior Pastor to
lead our congregation through a season of revitalization and spiritual growth in our community.
Our Mission is to glorify God by winning people to Jesus Christ and equipping them to be more
faithful disciples.
Current active membership is 192 with average worship attendance of 112. Compensation is
between 60-80k including salary/housing/retirement/insurance, plus free tuition for children at
NHA if applicable.
Our next pastor would develop, execute and communicate the church’s vision and mission by
aligning ministry activities with the church’s overall goals for growth and reaching the
community.
Qualifications
 The ideal candidate will be a spiritually mature leader who can connect with a multi-
generational and multi-cultural congregation.
 A Master of Divinity or equivalent theological education
 Strong communication skills, both in preaching and interpersonal relationships

Who We Are

Southern Crescent Baptist Church’s mission is to “Love God, Love People, and Tell the Story.” We’re a church that cares for each other like family and are looking for a Senior Pastor to shepherd the church through sound Biblical teaching and leadership. Southern Crescent has an average attendance of 125 people on Sundays with a strong base serving in our growing children’s ministry, AWANA, and youth programs. Sunday morning life groups provide a place for people to learn about God, support one another, and become equipped to disciple others.

Southern Crescent is located in McDonough, GA, a city with a population of about 30,000 people in the center of Henry County, right off of I-75, about 30 miles south of Atlanta. As the city continues to grow, we want to reach more families with the good news of Jesus Christ. McDonough offers an idyllic downtown area, several parks and memorials, and nearby farms with seasonal activities.

What the Position Requires

The Senior Pastor will join our current staff consisting of the Minister of Students, Worship Director, and Secretary/Ministry Assistant. They each have a heart for the Lord and serve the church joyfully.

The Senior Pastor will serve as the shepherd of the church by leading and nurturing the congregation. The pastor’s main responsibilities will be to preach and teach God’s Word, minister to spiritual needs, and provide Biblical leadership for the church.

 Qualifications and Experience:

Christ-centered, Bible-based, prayer-driven, born-again Christian
Meet the spiritual and character qualifications as found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9
Exhibit the fruit of the Spirit as found in Galatians 5:22-23
Hold to the doctrinal beliefs of the Southern Baptist Convention as described in the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message
Seminary graduate with at least a Master of Divinity degree, preferably from a SBC seminary
Demonstrate a commitment to expository preaching

Five years of documented church leadership experience preferred
 

 Duties & Responsibilities:

Proclaim the Word of God in a regular pulpit ministry and clearly present the Gospel
Lead and guide pastoral staff
Provide leadership and vision for the church, defining strategic goals as the key leader
Motivate, equip, and nurture the congregation through example, preaching and teaching of God’s Word, and spiritual counseling
Participate in evangelism efforts through preaching and giving invitations during worship services, special services, visitation, and other outreach activities
Provide counseling within the parameter of expertise, and make referrals to competent individuals or agencies when needed
Work in a spirit of cooperation with the deacons and other ministry teams to meet the needs of the congregation, administration, and management of church operations

Paran Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking our next Bi-vocational Pastor.  Paran is in Monroe County, Georgia, in the small community of Blount.

 

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as spiritual leader of the church, conducting weekly services
  • Administer ordinances of the church regularly
  • Lead the church in carrying out its purpose for Christ’s Kingdom
  • Work with volunteers to accomplish God’s work
  • Serve as moderator for official business meetings and steer the church around trivialities.
  • Liaison between the church and our SBC entities
  • Promote the missionary and discipleship efforts of WMU and Brotherhood
  • Assist with recruitment and leadership development
  • Conduct other ceremonies as requested, i.e. wedding, funeral, counseling, etc.
  • Visit congregants as needed outside of church/activity time
