Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary receptionist for the church, providing a warm and welcoming presence.
  • Maintain up-to-date church files and manage membership software.
  • Prepare and publish service bulletins for Sunday, Wednesday, and special events.

  • Order supplies for various church needs, including office, kitchen, and ministry materials.

  • Use tools like Publisher, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Canva, and MailChimp proficiently.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.

First Baptist Church of Riverdale, GA (“FBC Riverdale”) is a revitalizing
church in the South Metro Atlanta area, (approx. 20 minutes from
Hartsfield Jackson Airport). We are entering a new era of ministry and are

Essential Responsibilities:
 Lead worship on The Lord’s Day
 Work with the pastor in planning the worship services
 Recruit, supervise, and lead the volunteer praise/worship team
 Hold regular rehearsals with the praise/worship team
 Choose theologically sound songs and hymns that are gospel-centered
 Lead and encourage the growth of theological understanding among the
worship team
 Work with the praise team and AV team so that everything is conducive
for corporate worship. This would include, but not be limited to:
♦ Making sure A/V team has all lyrics for PowerPoint and order of
service

♦ All singers and musicians have the lyrics and chord charts in advance
♦ Ensure sound system and mics are working and properly adjusted
prior to the worship service
♦ Ensure instruments are tuned by communicating with musicians
♦ Preferred candidate possess some skill and knowledge of technology
in worship, including sound, computers, presentation software, and
video projection.

 Flexibility is a must. Church staff have various areas of expertise and duties,
but we all work together in ministry.
 Ongoing training is a must. Candidate must demonstrate a willingness to
continue growing in the area of worship ministry by attending conferences
and workshops when available.
 As worship leader, and as on board with the mission and vision of FBC

Who We Are

What the Position Requires

The Senior Pastor will join our current staff consisting of the Minister of Students, Worship Director, and Secretary/Ministry Assistant. They each have a heart for the Lord and serve the church joyfully.

The Senior Pastor will serve as the shepherd of the church by leading and nurturing the congregation. The pastor’s main responsibilities will be to preach and teach God’s Word, minister to spiritual needs, and provide Biblical leadership for the church.

 Duties & Responsibilities:

Proclaim the Word of God in a regular pulpit ministry and clearly present the Gospel
Lead and guide pastoral staff

Paran Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking our next Bi-vocational Pastor.  Paran is in Monroe County, Georgia, in the small community of Blount.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as spiritual leader of the church, conducting weekly services

The Pastor of Students (“Student Pastor”) is responsible for implementing a comprehensive discipleship strategy for the student ministry at Fayetteville First Baptist Church (grades 7-12) and providing leadership to collegiate discipleship efforts. The Student Pastor will be committed to reaching, teaching, and equipping students to be disciples of Jesus Christ. He will be champion for discipleship and Great Commission ministry in the church, and a biblically qualified shepherd to the whole church. He will be the champion student discipleship in our church, developing a long-term vision for their discipleship and service that is strategically aligned with the Senior Pastor and church staff and biblically faithful. He will work to recruit and equip a team of leaders, volunteers, and parents to carry out this work while setting an example in his own teaching, evangelism, and discipleship efforts.

Major Responsibilities:

Ministry and Pastoral Care:

  • Coordinate and lead all student activities.
  • In coordination with the Pastor of Families, strategize and implement a plan for student discipleship.
  • Plan and lead camps, fellowships, retreats and various activities.
  • Plan and administrate student ministry budget and relevant designated funds, in coordination with the Pastor of Families.
  • Evaluate and approve all curriculum and teaching materials for the student ministry.
  • Provide pastoral counseling and support for students facing life challenges, where qualified, and aid students in seeking helper for greater counseling needs.

Leadership:

  • Recruit and train volunteers, chaperones and sponsors for student activities.
  • Train and equip Sunday School and small group leaders.
  • Coordinate effective student ministry activities for Sunday morning, midweek, and all other church-wide services and functions. Provide leadership to student ministry event planning (for example, DNOW, camp, retreats, etc.).
  • Provide strategic leadership related to the outreach and growth of the student ministry.

Outreach:

  • Coordinate student evangelism and mission strategies.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the supplies and material needs of the student ministry.

Should be actively growing in a personal walk of faith in Jesus Christ as exemplified in daily spiritual disciplines, a regular personal witness, and a life of service both in the church and community. Seminary degree required. Holds to Baptist Convictions set forth in the Baptist Faith & Message 2000. Experience in student ministry required. 3 years of experience in pastoral ministry is preferred but not required. M.Div. or equivalent degree required (or, required to be in progress). Description

Our mission at International Bible Church is to declare the gospel, disciple the believers and develop leaders. Principal Function 
 
The Pastor of Families is responsible for developing, directing, and evaluating a comprehensive discipleship strategy for all family ministry at Fayetteville First Baptist Church, with direct supervision of FFBC Kids. The Pastor of Families will be committed to reaching, teaching, and equipping students, children, and families to be disciples of Jesus Christ. He will be champion for discipleship and Great Commission ministry in the church, and a biblically-qualified shepherd to the whole church. He will be the champion for the next generation in our church, developing a long-term vision for their discipleship and service that is strategically aligned with the Senior Pastor and church staff and biblically faithful. He will lead other leaders to accomplish their ministry goals and help to cultivate a culture of discipleship in our church by supervising ministries to parents, students, and children. 

Major Responsibilities: 

Ministry Supervision: 

  • Oversee all next generation ministries, whether directly or through supervision of other pastors, directors and ministry leaders: young families, young professionals, college, student ministry, kids ministry, pre-school and nursery.
  • Develop and implement a family discipleship plan, with special attention to programming for K-6th grade.
  • Provide direct pastoral support for young families of Fayetteville First Baptist Church. 
    Supervise the Weekday Education program director, including Weekday Education budget processes.

Leadership:

  • Coordinate effective family ministry activities for Sunday morning, midweek, and all other church-wide services and functions. Provide leadership to family ministry event planning in collaboration with volunteer leaders, including, but not limited to, Kids Camp, Vacation Bible School, etc.
  • Provide strategic leadership related to the outreach and growth of ministries under direct supervision.
  • Provide professional development to pastors/directors and interns/residents under supervision.
  • Regular preaching and teaching responsibilities for various ministries and/or FFBC’s Sunday’s worship.

Staff Roles

  • Attend all staff meetings as required by Senior Pastor.
  • Accomplish other duties as may be assigned by Senior Pastor or supervisor.
  • Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed bible study, prayer, and meditation.
  • Maintain proper priorities in your home and be the spiritual leader to your spouse, and children if any; in addition, be a godly example to the church as a whole.
  • Carry out other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Senior Pastor.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration of child protection policies for FFBC, including oversight and maintenance of the electronic check-in system.
  • Create and lead a family discipleship philosophy that is consistent with the adult discipleship strategy led by the Pastor of Adult Discipleship.
  • Supportive of the total church through attendance and participation of all services of FFBC.
  • Office hours to be commensurate to and kept according to agreed upon hours in coordination with the Senior Pastor.
  • Adherence to all policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook and Operations Manual (EHOM).
  • Abide by the code of behavior of the staff (found in the EHOM).

This is a general statement of job responsibilities; however, the Pastor of Families is expected to perform other duties as required to support the mission and ministries of Fayetteville First Baptist Church. 
 
Supervision: 
 
Supervises assigned Ministry Assistant, Weekday Education Program employees, Pastor of Students, and all childcare employees, including Nursery and ESL. Additional supervision subject to future staff structures, with expectation of leadership of all family related ministers.
